How you will make an impact:

Our Commercial Finance function provides oversight and support for our fast-paced, innovative and global sales teams. By leading activities such as, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and close exercises, using analytical, forecasting and reporting skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for senior leaders and the sales teams. You will develop a robust skills as part of this fast-paced function by interacting with a broad number of internal business partners and building interpersonal capabilities to drive profitability & customer satisfaction.

Seeking a Senior Finance Manager who will lead a team of 2 within the Commercial Finance team to support senior leaders in data analytics, financial reporting and forecasting processes to help shape the commercial success of the business. This role would suit an individual with a real desire to develop and succeed within a fast paced, innovative global FP&A function!

What you will do:Lead on monthly and quarterly business reviews to support the global senior directors and to identify actions to improve the businessWork with divisional counterparts assuring an alignment between global requirements and regionSupport the forecasting and planning process in collaboration with Commercial leadership, Marketing and sales structuresSupport operative and strategic decisions and suggest corrective actions.Review appropriate commercial finance support mechanisms and implement change as needed.Provide a leadership role in initiatives that will guide and develop the team into a premier finance organization.Complete special projects as requested, such as Go To Market strategies and integration processesLead, develop and inspire your team to meet the business and finance objectivesHow you will get here:Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting field. CPA, CMA, MBA preferred

Experience

7+ years of relevant working experience

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesSignificant experience in a commercial FP&A role with strong financial competence and expertise in business engagement. forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.Experience with large sets of data, with responsibility for the quality and integrity of resultsOrganized multitasker: you prioritize your workload, in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong team building skills working with a diverse group of people, even if geographically dispersedExcellent communication and presentation skills to communicate analysis and recommendations in concise informative mannerExcellent skills with MS Excel are required; Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) are preferredSelf-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job doneContinuous Improvement: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)Exhibit leadership, initiative, and the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.Travel requirementsLess than 25% domestic/international travel required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.
