Job Description:
The Cox Enterprises Intelligent Automation (IA) and AI Solutions team is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Intelligent Automation Engineering, to lead and advance our IA program. In this role, you will manage a team of IA engineers, oversee the design and execution of IA solutions, and collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to achieve impactful outcomes. The ideal candidate brings expertise in IA technologies (RPA, OCR/IDP, NLP, AI/ML, Process Mining) and a proven track record of driving automation initiatives that deliver business value. This senior leadership position requires both technical proficiency and strategic vision.
This is an Atlanta-based role and candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid work setting with a few days per week in the office.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Organizational Development:
Implement goals, policies, priorities, and procedures for Intelligent Automation (IA). Responsible for tracking and meeting those goals and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Drive innovation by leveraging emerging IA technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering engagement, growth, and results-driven execution.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the IA Center of Excellence (CoE).
Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key corporate stakeholders and across the extended IBT team, ensuring alignment and responsive service delivery.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences, emphasizing business value.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership in designing scalable and efficient IA solutions, leveraging RPA, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
Maintain high technical standards by implementing coding best practices and quality assurance protocols.
Quality Assurance:
Oversee consistent code quality and establish automated testing strategies, utilizing tools such as UiPath Test Suite.
Guide the development of robust automated testing to enhance IA solution quality and delivery speed.
Agile Leadership:
Implement and champion Agile SAFe principles and practices within the IA engineering team.
Facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Participate in the IA Release Train Team as the Technology Lead and collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure alignment and coordination of agile practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute to retrospectives and implement iterative enhancements.
Work closely with IA Product Management, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to prioritize features, refine backlogs, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Effective Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences, and maintaining strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Adaptability and Problem Solving: Proficient in navigating changing environments, managing competing priorities, and independently solving complex problems with attention to detail.
Job Qualifications –
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8+ years’ experience in a related field with at least 3 years' experience in a management/leadership role; or a Master’s degree and 6+ years’ experience; or a Ph.D. and 3+ years’ experience; or 12 years’ experience in lieu of a degree in a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in developing or leading teams to design, implement, and optimize IA solutions, leveraging tools such as RPA, machine learning, and AI to drive business value.
Prior experience leveraging agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Preferred:
Professional experience in software development, with a recent focus on intelligent automation.
Expertise in UiPath ecosystem of tools, such as Orchestrator, Studio, Document Understanding, AI Center, Connectors, RE Framework, Integration Services, Data Service, Insights, Process Mining, Task Mining, Test Automation, etc.
Experience with the Microsoft Power platform.
Familiarity with cognitive automation and natural language processing.
Knowledge of data integration and workflow orchestration.
Exposure to cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience within a center of excellence/shared services organization environment.
