This position is located in Deerfield, IL. 

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Pricing Strategy, as a part of the Commercial NPK Product Management team, you will work cross-functionally within the Commercial BU to identify and develop value-added pricing initiatives that contribute to business performance which include the development and implementation of sustainable models, tools, and analytics in support of ongoing Ag and Industrial pricing efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Lead the development of pricing models/tools that integrate multiple complex data sources to articulate opportunities across the NPK businesses. Develop pricing insights for the Commercial team that are anchored by data and include clear articulation of expected returns. Develop and monitor key metrics, market intelligence, and competitor analysis to drive insights and identify opportunities for evolving pricing. Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales to refine the current price list tools. Lead the development and implementation of lookbacks for ongoing sales of materiality.  Implement a set of best practices and processes that can be used to drive ongoing pricing improvements. Lead, coach and develop a small team of direct reports. Compile information and prepare presentations as required on a routine and ad hoc basis. Work effectively within a highly accountable team, display a flexible “can do” attitude. Manage to deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexities. Maintain confidentiality and use judgement on when and to whom to share information with Be enthusiastic, creative, have an ability to look at issues from multiple angles and have a strong desire to learn


Qualifications: 

 

A bachelor’s degree in finance, management, accounting or related area and post-graduate designation such as a CFA, CPA or MBA in strategy, finance, marketing or similar 10+ years of relevant experience, which includes knowledge of the fertilizer industry. Experience with commercial organizations is considered an asset.

 

Skills:

 

Superior analytical skills, the ability to both go deep and retain big picture thinking. Experience working in SAP, IBP, MSS, and Power BI Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications with a high skill level with Excel. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, concise, easy to understand way. Strong demonstration of the ability to influence others, reach alignment and drive action. Highly motivated, self-starter requiring little supervision. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Led or participated in a project with cross-functional project teams, multiple deliverables and using project management techniques

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
