Position overview:As the Senior Manager, Project Management in Costa Rica, you will coordinate the execution of transitions, migrations, process improvements, and other programs. You will lead all aspects of project portfolios, ensuring the detailed delivery of portfolio goals. Collaboration with a diverse range of partners within and outside Global Business Services will be crucial, ensuring a coordinated and inclusive approach.
Major areas of responsibility:Lead cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams to achieve bold outcomesFoster collaboration across horizontal workstreams and geographies, effectively running diverse teams and owning interdependenciesCollaborate with key collaborators to ensure the timely and quality implementation of programs across workstreams and businessesBuild relationships within the company to successfully complete projects through effective communication with collaboratorsDrive breakthrough thinking by integrating diverse views and promoting innovative, collaborative problem-solving approaches through feasibility studies and targeted content deep dive sessionsDefine and maintain scope of work, goals, budget, headcount requirements, and deliverables with a full-scale project plan, handling project resource requirements and allocationCoordinate periodic project plan assessments to ensure readiness and quality of the projectsDrive project requirements, deliverables, and progress throughout the project lifecycle with Business, Operational teams, IT, and other functionsApply suitable methodologies and use appropriate strategies to accomplish project scope within the designated timeframe, while maintaining quality and staying within budgetIdentify and handle interdependencies, risks, issues, and actions, facilitating decision-making related to complexities through effective risk management strategiesSupervise multiple projects, track modifications to ensure forward movement, and act as the key information hub for the overall health and savings pipeline.Build a high-performing team of highly skilled and motivated peopleRequired education/experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a business-related fieldProject Management certification highly desirable (PMP, Prince2, Agile, etc.)10+ years of proven experience managing complex, global programs and project initiativesExperience in Finance operations (OTC, PTP, FA, Inventory) or Customer Service is preferredGBS experience is highly desirableExperience in Agile project management is an advantageProficiency in EnglishKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Outstanding leadership: Demonstrated capacity to guide, encourage, and motivate a team, while cultivating an atmosphere of trust and respectStrong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiencesEffective conflict resolution: Skilled in resolving conflicts efficiently and equitably to ensure team cohesion and project progressAdaptability: Ability to adjust strategies and approaches in response to changing project demands and challenges including working in unstructured environmentsProblem solving: Expertise in identifying and resolving problems quickly and implementing solutionsDecision-making: Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the capacity to weigh the broader consequences of various actionsEmpathy and emotional intelligence: High level of emotional intelligence to understand team dynamics and manage interpersonal relationships effectively
