Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Senior Sales Manager you will lead a team of Account Managers to grow our Bioproduction business within Northern Europe. You will mentor and develop the team to identify high growth and potential opportunities within their selected accounts, whilst leading business operational execution.

As a sales leader, you will sell within the technical, manufacturing and commercial arenas, with the experience to tailor your sales approach accordingly to build customer value and strong partnership.

You will be strong people leader, capable of encouraging and empowering a sales team to perform to the best of their abilities to drive sustainable growth.

This is a field-based leader role covering a larger geographical region.

Responsibilities:

Lead of team of Bio-Processing sales professionals to develop key accounts relationship and drive business growth for the Bioproduction sector within Thermo Fisher Scientific.Empower and mentor managers to lead their teams, sales strategy and execution optimally.Manage relationships with key commercial partners in the district and global functions.Build and deploy Account & District Strategy, aligned with EMEA Go To Market and group STRAP.  Move strategy to action by impact oriented action planning.Encourage and lead strong execution of business development in the region.Enable your district to maintain and grow and expand business within existing and new accountsLead and enable creation and progressing sales opportunities in their territory to meet or exceed targetsLead team accountability and desire to winProvide accurate forecasting and reporting, as well as competitive information, to senior sales leadership on a regular basisSolutioning challenges with key clients between sales, support, customer services, marketing and financeStrategically align, with HR support, Staff capabilities with commercial goals including continuous development, performance management, employee engagement, Talent attraction and retention.  

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Degree in a Life Science or equivalent backgroundIn-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical Bioprocessing and ManufacturingExtensive sales and business development experience gained within the Biopharma segmentAccount Management experience within a targeted sales environmentCommercial awareness and desire aligned with the goals of a commercial organisationA sales approach, able to influence and negotiate with collaborators at all levelsSelf-motivated and well organized individual with the ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and presentation skillsPeople manager and leadership competencesExperience of using a CRM system such as Salesforce.comAbility to travel within the region (including frequent overnights)Proficient in EnglishDriving licence
