Sr Manager, Sales Operations, Kuiper Commerical Revenue Operations
Description Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. We are looking for an experienced B2B Operations Leader to scale our offer to activate and order to cash operations team globally for Project Kuiper. The successful candidate will have experience leading core operational functions to enable enterprise customers, sales and marketing, and partner teams. They will have a deep understanding of the telecommunications business and/or expertise enabling large strategic customer segments across fixed and mobility technology services. This role will be responsible for leading the design and execution of B2B business policies, process workflows, controls, tools, and insights to run efficient and effective operational teams. They thrive in tackling ambiguous strategic and operational challenges, use data and customer insights to inform decision-making, and have proven experience in implementing and delivering successful operational strategies and plans. As a senior leader, you will be obsessed with raising the bar on operational excellence with a relentless focus on delighting our customers. The Kuiper Business team is focused on launching and operating the Kuiper service across the globe. The successful candidate will think strategically, make appropriate prioritization trade-offs, and execute on the plan to deliver connectivity services for enterprises. We are looking for a resourceful leader that can build automated and/or manual mechanisms to enable customers as the business ramps, learns quickly, and works with product teams to scale operations. The ideal candidate for this job should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities • Build and manage the offer to activate operations team, to enable strategic B2B customers and partners, once contracts are signed. Develop processes, metrics, and tools to onboard customers, place and fulfill orders, enable service activation, and provide customer support. • Build and manage the order to cash operations team, to enable customers with invoicing, payments, revenue management, reporting functions, and be the business liaison with partner teams. Set up automated mechanisms for bill-runs, account operations, revenue assurance, risk management, and reporting, with manual tools where necessary. • Develop the insights and present well-reasoned, data-driven proposals to cross-functional stakeholder teams on opportunities in the areas of performance management and process improvements. • Develop operational strategies and run business reviews to influence prioritization of bar raising customer success, product, and operational experiences within a matrix organization. • Develop and drive operational reporting, measure and track metrics, and provide visibility to voice of the customer feedback to minimize churn and retain customers. • Dive deep on executive escalations and create workflows and decision trees for timely resolution of potential risks, compliance, and policy violations. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand and evaluate business priorities, define shared opportunities and requirements, and establish information sharing mechanisms. A day in the life You will be a thought leader in building and evolving operational capabilities, mechanisms, and process workflows to support and enable Kuiper enterprise customers and partners. You will be working with Kuiper sales account managers, customer success managers, service delivery managers, and technical account managers to simplify and streamline customer experiences. You are a problem solver that can handle exceptions and take ownership of escalations and resolution to provide white glove support to large, strategic, and lighthouse enterprise customers. You work in partnership with finance, legal, and other partner teams as the business liaison for revenue assurance and policy management to mitigate risks and meet regulatory compliance requirements. You maintain a high bar for customer obsession while scaling the operational teams globally and running operations in an efficient manner. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. • 7+ years of business operations management with a proven record of understanding and managing offer to activate and order to cash operational teams. • 3+ years of senior leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence team members to achieve their goals. • 5+ years in process design, defining policies, setting up operational metrics, and managing key performance indicators to enable customers and partners. Preferred Qualifications • Adept in writing strategic documents, communicating with stakeholder across all levels in the organization, and collaborating with partner teams. • Proven experience in building B2B operations ground-up in multiple global locations. • Experience in defining operational requirements for building infrastructure, business tools, and dashboards to track KPIs across multiple functions. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
