Position Summary: Fortna is seeking an experienced and innovative Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) Leader to drive procurement best practices, standardize processes, optimize technology, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. This role is integral to developing a world-class procurement function, aligning it with overall business goals, and supporting strategic initiatives. The COE Leader will play a key role in leading change management, enhancing procurement capabilities, and managing compliance and risk within the procurement organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and expertise in procurement processes, data management, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Global Commodity Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Strategic Planning and Communication: Align procurement goals with overall organizational objectives, lead internal & cross functional procurement communication efforts.Standardization and Optimization: Standardize procurement processes, embrace Lean methodologies, and drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency.Change Management: Act as the PMO, supporting key strategic initiatives and managing change efforts for new practices or technologies.Digital Transformation: Lead the adoption of procurement technologies (e.g., e-procurement, spend analytics) to enhance processes and supplier performance.Data Management: Ensure accurate data, manage spend visibility, and develop KPIs to drive performance.Policy and Compliance: Establish and enforce procurement policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.Supplier Management: Implement supplier qualification processes, including a supplier code of conduct, to ensure quality, reliability, and ethical practices.Diversity, Sustainability, and Risk: Drive supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives and identify, assess, and mitigate procurement-related risks.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, finance, and quality to align sourcing strategies with business needs.Technology Forward: Leverage ERP & business analytics to create a culture of data driven making and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or process improvement based roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices; proficient in procurement technology platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and data analytics tools.Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, PMP) are a plus.

The base salary range for this role is $115,900 to $173,800.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
