General Summary
This position is responsible for providing US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting guidance to the senior accounting and finance management team, including technical accounting support for complex areas such as revenue recognition, business combinations, derivatives, debt and equity accounting and other areas as required.Essential Job Accountabilities
Monitor and interpret new accounting standards, providing guidance on their implementation and impact.Research the accounting and financial reporting impact of new or unusual transactions and document findings in detailed white papers.Lead the accounting for business combinations, coordinating with valuation professionals, developing purchase price allocations, and documenting these accounting matters comprehensively.Participate in integration activities for new acquisitions, including risk assessments and control scoping.Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with US GAAP.Partner with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance on complex matters concerning US GAAP requirements, acting as a key technical accounting liaison for the company.Conduct training sessions for the finance team on new accounting standards and complex accounting issues.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for complex transactions.Bring a process improvement mindset to the finance and accounting functions, including identifying opportunities to automate, streamline and improve processes.Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance requiredCPA requiredMaster’s degree in accounting or related field or an MBA is a plusWork Experience
8+ years’ experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting required (public accounting preferred)4+ years management/supervisory experienceExperience with SEC reporting requirements and researching SEC reporting and technical issues, including all disclosures and MD&AExperience leading, coaching and developing staff and teamsPrior experience working collaboratively with various department and groups (i.e. legal, treasury, tax, accounting, etc.)Construction industry experiences a plusKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Base Salary Range:
$138,513.00 - $207,771.00Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
