Become a member of the Workday’s Revenue Accounting Team. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager that will be responsible for leading the Team’s technical accounting positions as well as their associated operationalization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Technical Accounting, is a great communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset, and is excited and energetic about jumping in and joining a transformative team.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Collaborate with other business functions (Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Sales, and Finance) to provide potential revenue outcomes based on business proposals
Provide technical accounting expertise for the Revenue Accounting Team
Maintain the Team’s accounting policies and positions, including their on-going evaluation with business needs
Drive the Team’s internal, continuous improvement initiatives and substantiation of accounting conventions
Generate and implement additional improvement ideas for internal processes, control framework, and internal reporting
Effectively manage workflow to provide timely feedback and input while keeping management aware of key issues.
Collaborate with broader Revenue Accounting Team on completing month-end close and deal review activities.
Work with external auditors to address and close audit issues on a timely manner.
About You
Basic Qualifications
10+ years related experience in Accounting
People Leadership / Managerial experience
Degree in Accounting/Finance
Other Qualifications
CPA license preferred
Experience with SaaS/Technology industry preferred
5+ years of Big 4 experience
Experience in researching and interpreting technical accounting guidance
Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
Advanced skills in Excel, Salesforce, and experience using Workday

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
