Micron is looking for a Sr Manager- Aviation Maintenance to lead a team in delivering world-class aviation solutions. This role offers an exciting and innovative environment where your expertise will drive our mission to maintain flawless operations and uphold outstanding safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:**Ensure Compliance**: Closely maintain all aircraft in compliance with FAA and DOT maintenance regulations. Act as the company liaison, filing all required reports with these organizations.
**Develop and Implement Goals**: Establish ambitious maintenance goals and deadlines to keep aircraft serviceable. Collaborate closely with the Director of Aviation to efficiently implement scheduled tasks.
**Coordinate Operations**: Work under the supervision of the Director of Aviation to optimize flight department operations, including maintenance scheduling, financial planning, and flight scheduling.
**Manage Facilities and Equipment**: Ensure both company and contracted MRO operations have outstanding facilities, equipment, and trained staff.
**Quality Assurance**: Coordinate the quality of all maintenance performed on aircraft and manage the upkeep of company facilities, shop equipment, and staff training.
**Physical Oversight**: Perform routine inspections and address aircraft discrepancies, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance.
Physical Requirements:**Climbing and Lifting**: Capable of climbing maintenance stands and ladders, and lifting parts up to 60 pounds.
**Equipment Operation**: Skilled in operating ground support equipment including electrical and hydraulic ground power units, tugs, forklifts, and other vehicles.
**Manual Maintenance**: Maintain and update company-owned manufacturer’s maintenance manuals as required by Federal Regulations.
Required Experience:**Industry Experience**: Minimum of 10 years of validated experience in aviation maintenance.
**Certifications**: FAA-issued Airframe and Power Plant mechanic certificate, in good standing.
**Driver’s License**: Valid and maintained Department of Motor Vehicles driver’s license.
**Technical Proficiency**: Advanced skills in using computer software (email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and CAMP Systems).
**Management Experience**: Prior experience in aircraft maintenance management, including scheduling, financial planning, budgeting, and coordinating with corporate management and MRO facilities.
**Compliance**: Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests as per DOT Rule 49 CFR part 40.
