Job Description:Education:
High School diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in relevant field of study requiredWork Experiences:
8+ years of customer insights and analytics related work experience required, focused on experience leading a team of customer insights professionalsExperience building an ecosystem of customer insights tools (including Monthly tracker, brand health, DIY research, VOC, etc.)Skills:
Ability to tell a cohesive story including recommended next steps based on data from various sources (research, analytics, measurement)Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levelsAbility to lead and manage our Customer Insights teamUnderstand the business needs and proactively solve problems using an unbiased, data-driven approachAbility to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organizedSelf-motivated and able to work independently and within a team settingAnalytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skillsAbility to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines with high volume, fast-paced environmentAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building reports with slicers and macros, Access, and PowerPoint; VBA experience preferredProficiency with cross-tabs and SPSSResponsibilities:
Deliver customer insights to internal clients including merchandising, marketing, omnichannel, store ops, real estate and executives.Develop and socialize customer insights reports and answer customer insights business questions leveraging our ecosystemProvide leadership and vision to responsibly grow and structure customer insights departmentManage vendor ecosystemManage $2M+ annual budgetShape goals/strategies of department; create organizational chart; hire team membersCollect and assess research priorities from stakeholders on a yearly basisScope and deliver insights to provide perspective and recommendations on opportunities to grow our share with existing customers, retain customers longer and attract new customersManage 2-4 analysts including prioritizing work, overseeing output, presenting detailed findings to requestors and synthesized findings to senior management, developing talentDevelop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policies, procedures and safety rulesDuties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements & Attendance:
