Senior Manager, Manufacturing Huntsville, AL
Responsibilities:
Motivate, support and provide guidance to production and maintenance staff Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization 100% accident-free Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality Ensure adequate scheduling of staff Identify growth opportunities, both financially and operationally Hold daily and weekly meetings with Supervisors and key staff Perform periodic reviews and development opportunities relating to Supervisors and key personnel Assist subordinates with disciplinary matters as needed Ensure all production targets are met or exceeded Ensure root cause of issues and solutions are implemented to reduce maintenance work orders and repeat issues Utilize Lean, Six Sigma concepts, 5S and good housekeeping practices to ensure efficient flow and minimum waste Champion cost control to ensure plant spending remains at or below established budget levels
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required, Strong Preference for Degree in Engineering or Technical Field 8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing 5-7 years of experience in Leadership Strong communication skills and experience in change management Demonstrated experience in driving cultural change by leading continuous improvement and large projects
History of leading injury free work environment
Experience leading a 24/7/365 continuous process operation preferred
