The Corporate Safety Senior Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of occupational safety , life safety, and environmental safety efforts at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. The position will uphold safety standards and serve as a subject matter expert in guiding business units on measures that promote employee and guest safety. Being fully knowledgeable of industry standards/codes and regulatory compliance is an integral function of this position.

Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
Effectively plan, organize, develop, evaluate and implement occupational and environmental health & safety policies and procedures.*
Lead investigation and preparation efforts and collaborate with other relevant stakeholders on the representation of HE&R, regarding civil litigation involving guest injuries, damage or loss of HE&R property, and occupational safety matters. Follow up on potential safety hazards reported by employees or guests. Conduct injury and incident investigations and make corrective action recommendations in collaboration with appropriate managers.*
Develop company programs and procedures in order to ensure compliance with OSHA, Workers Compensation, ADA regulations, Life Safety Code, NFPA, AZA, and Health Departments.*
Conduct injury and incident investigations and make corrective action recommendations in cooperation with appropriate managers. Review and evaluate incident reports to inform future policy/program changes and recommendations*
Coordinate inspections of life safety systems to include; fire extinguishers, kitchen hood/equipment systems, fire detection/suppression, exit lights, and chemical storage throughout the HE&R.*
Plan and organize regularly scheduled safety drills including routine live action drills and table top drills.*
Provide support to all HE&R Safety Committees.
Build successful working relationships with appropriate governmental agencies at the federal, state, and local level. Act as a liaison to the federal, state, county, and local safety and fire authorities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
18 years of age or older.
Certified Safety Professional - Preferred
Certified Industrial Hygienist - Preferred
OSHA-10 Hour Class Instructor - Preferred
Must have a valid Drivers' License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
Advanced knowledge of risk management and safety training
Knowledgeable of Life Safety and OSHA regulations.
