Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or relevant field of study preferredWork Experiences:
5+ years of work experience within the Omnichannel or buying verticalsCapable of evaluating, testing, modifying, and managing a best in class, intuitive, and comprehensive navigation structure to deliver a great customer experience while searching and navigating Academy.comSkills:

Partner with GMM and DMMs to influence assortment for Omnichannel to achieve sales, merchandising margin and gross profit goalsInfluence cross-functional business leaders in establishing business objectives and goals specific to OmnichannelPartner with Product Management as key stakeholder to influence capability and enhancement roadmapLead business stakeholder for customer facing websitePartner with marketing to activate enterprise marketing plans as well as develop Omnichannel supporting campaigns to activate balance of the assortmentManage and oversee the Omnichannel category management team who are responsible for curating and optimizing the onsite experienceBuild landing experiences to optimize for conversionLead team to understand current trends, opportunities, assortment, competition and merchant vision by category and apply knowledge to drive accretive conversion growthCreate and deliver monthly reviews of successes, opportunity and go forward plan to activate seasonal categories, address opportunities, or further leverage momentumCollaborate with buying and Omnichannel teams on approach to grow drop ship sales, and vendor basePosition and present products within the online store to accelerate conversion, elevate UPT, and raise AOVWork with the analytics team to measure the effectiveness of category marketing campaigns to evaluate and improve future performanceMaintain the drop ship vendor prioritization schedule for category and/or vendor rolloutPartner with merchant group to activate all significant product launches with the necessary supporting marketing and web specific activities to compete on an premium levelIdentify unique, underdeveloped, emerging or new, products or categories, based on statistical analysis, competitive landscape, customer feedback, web analyticsPartner with major vendor partners such as Nike, Under Armour, and internally managed brands such as BCG and Magellan to develop and deliver a great customer experience and ensure the brands are well positioned to deliver against customer and brand expectations Train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate team members to ensure that the team is committed to achieving team initiativesProvide leadership and individual developmental growth to category merchandisers, content analysts, and drop ship specialistLead category merchandising team to use data driven business insights to address customer opportunities through site improvementsOptimize the online shopping experience to increase conversion through site presentation and product merchandising by analyzing sales, web metrics, and industry best practicesExecute on-going competitive analysis as well as recommended strategies and tactics to improve our value equation to the customerLead various category and campaign strategies and develop execution plans to drive the business by highlighting trends, promotions and aligning to members’ needsEnhance, develop and manage the category content team to deliver optimal experience specific to the product pagesBuild effective metric goals and site plans with site merchants to grow the sales, margin and gross profit after shipping within the site and their assigned divisionDevelop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policy, procedures and safety rulesDuties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned
