Sr Mechanical Engineer **OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE** Responsible for all thermal related tasks in the TW Mechanical Engg to support and provide deliverables throughout the design standardization, RFQ & Platform development, New Program Introduction (NPI) development and Legacy models in accordance with customer requirements, regulatory standards and company quality policy. Aims are - satisfactory result of OTD ( On time Delivery) against the committed schedule, high quality, cost effective design, and customer satisfaction in multiple projects simultaneously as well as in good quality results. **KEY RESULTS AREAS / DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & TIME SPENT ON THE DUTY** **New Program Introduction (NPI) development** + In any chance possible, it needs to work/design with the approach that the mat'l selected/design could be reused with the same IPN.It would be benefiicial to shorten the development leadtime and cost effective. + Support/provide delliverables to Lead engineer/team manager in standardization development. **RFQ & Platform development** + Support/provide delliverables to Lead engineer/design team manager in RFQ & Platform development activities. + Propose thermal design concept and thermal simulation report to be included in technical proposal for customer + Support all thermal and acoustic related activity / deliverable in Platform design development **New Program Introduction (NPI) development** + Responsible for supporting all thermal related activities / deliverables in NPI development starting from Proto to PVT. + Activities include, but not limit to, thermal and acoustic design, related verification tests, Reliability Engg (RE) test support, design review meeting, customer conference call, factory DFM review, factory build support…etc + Deliverables include, but not limit to, CRTM, test / design check report, thermal simulation report, design document for customer approval, inof to Engineering Coordinator (EC) for BOM or document release, …etc **JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY REQUIRED** **Knowledge** + Airflow / Thermal management of Power supply cooling + Heat transfer, fluid and thermodynamics theory + Design and manufacture knowledge in heatsink and other thermal solution **Skills** + Proficiency in FloTHERM simulation + Proficiency in thermal and wind tunnel verificaiton test + Excellent written and verbal communication skill in both Mandarin and English + Ability to use 3D modeling program **Abilities & Behavior** + Good initiative + Good responsibility
