In this role, you will:
+ Work within a sustainment team providing mechanical product support including support to procurement, assembly, engineering test and debug
+ Apply your understanding of heat transfer principles, strength of materials, materials selection to root cause investigations and troubleshooting sessions
+ Support a broader program team and or supplier(s) and communicate effectively across functional boundaries in order to solve problems and achieve common goals
+ Effectively communicate your status, successes and hurdles to your lead(s)
+ Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies and rules
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers and customers to resolve technical problems and implement solutions
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4 years experience
+ Demonstrated experience of mechanical engineering in a factory setting and support of DoD military electronics equipment
+ Solid fundamentals of mechanical design, analysis, and documentation principles
+ Experience with state-of-the-art mechanical engineering development software tools
+ Strong computer skills in basic MS office and technical programs
+ DOD Security Clearance
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Knowledge/experience with optomechanical designs and components
+ Knowledge of MIL specs & standards, industry standards including ASTM, SAE, DO
+ Working experience with lasers, receivers, fiber optics, and/or related IR technologies
+ Experience in the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies
+ ANSYS Workbench/Mechanical, PTC Creo, MATLAB/Simulink, Siemens NX, ANSYS Icepak
+ Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Motivated self-starter and problem solver with proven experience executing in multi-disciplinary teams
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
