The Senior Medical Director, Obesity Global Medical Affairs provides strategic leadership with high visibility in the organization, reporting into the Executive Director of General Medicine, Global Medical Affairs. The Sr Medical Director orchestrates the development of medical strategy, planning and execution of medical affairs activities at Regeneron with the benefit of the patient at the forefront. They provide strategic planning and execution leadership by thoroughly understanding relevant the disease, ongoing development programs, market dynamics, as well as priorities and serve as a scientific and medical resources.
The Senior Medical Director leads a multifunctional Medical Impact Team (MIT) within a matrix organization, consisting of colleagues within the medical affairs organization. They ensure alignment working closely with research & development, commercial, access & reimbursement, and patient advocacy colleagues and represents Regeneron towards collaborators such as health care practitioners, research groups, payers, and alliance partners.
A typical day might include the following:Develop obesity medical strategy using internal strategic framework.Develop and align with MIT and franchise head on medical activities that are aligned with medical strategy. Define metrics and impact of the medical activities.Execute medical activities as planned in a timely fashion and measure defined metrics and impact.Lead Weight Management Working Group initiative and drive scientific content development working closely with KOLs and cross-functional teams. Drive the development and execution of the CEM program.Lead annual planning for the obesity program. Drive the formation and execution of a robust data generation plan.Responsible for KOL mapping, external engagement planning and execution, and reporting.Be an integral part of SPT representing medical affairs and work with cross-functional teams to support ongoing program development.Apply disease area expertise and business understanding to address needs in clinical practice with medically appropriate use of medicines.Lead all aspects of and provide hands on support in management, organization, and dissemination of clinical and non-clinical data.Lead a cross-functional team and continuously strives for alignment within the franchise and across the organization.Provide scientific/medical perspectives to the global and US strategic and medical organizations.Continue to develop and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with clinical specialists, societies, collaborative groups, advocacy groups, and other external partners representing Regeneron.This role may be for you if:

Endocrinologist is a plus. You have a solid background and understanding in drug development and life-cycle management. You have the ability to lead technical and business discussions internally and externally and explain scientific/medical concepts to all levels. You have the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with leading medical/scientific experts in the field of obesity.
