The Red Lion Team is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer  on First (1st) shift.

Summary:

Responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures, equipment, and tools involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.

Major Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties: 

Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards. Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Engineering or other Engineering related degree5-7 years' experienceOR Equivalent  Combination of Relevent Education & Experience 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Oral and written communication skills.Ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Problem-solving skills.Analytical thinking skills.Design expertise.Leadership skillsProficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

CNC Lathe/milling experience.

Machine programming

CAD software ProE/SolidWorks/AutoCAD

Lean manufacturing

FMEA/Control Plan

RCCA

GDT

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Engineering related degree

Physical Demands: 

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.

Travel Requirements: 

Less than 25% travel likely.
