Sr Mgr, Competitive Intelligence

The Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence, is responsible for tracking and reporting competitive intelligence across Spectrum’s footprint, focused on the Residential and SMB products.  The candidate is responsible for tracking competitive performance, market share, and product development.  In addition, the candidate will focus on monitoring competitor earnings calls, press releases and supporting competitive targeting campaigns.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifies, assesses, and sources intelligence from internal and external sources that includes fiber tracking and forecastingPrepares quarterly Market Share and flow share reportsSupports Competitive Targeting projects and performs analyses as neededSupports quarterly Competitive Deck and performs analyses as neededUnderstands the measurement of homes passed overlap information for regional and local competitorsAnalyzes market share and flow share trends for all competitors, at a local market levelAssesses growth opportunities and threats by geography and productAnalyzes offers and promotional tactics for national, regional and local competitorsKeeps abreast of key industry and product trendsGains an understanding of business needs and researches and recommends solutionsMaintains a focus on customer excellence and links to business challenges and objectives with tactical execution and resultsPerforms other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishStrong knowledge of marketing principles, techniques, and processesAbility to conduct competitive analysis and business/ industry researchSolid understanding of field marketing and intelligenceStrong communication skills, including experience presenting complex information in a concise and easy to understand fashionMS Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word- with high level of proficiency in ExcelAbility to manage large, complex data projectsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic environment with limited oversightAbility to analyze and interpret dataAbility to effectively present information to managementAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to supervise and motivate othersAbility to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectationsAbility to analyze large datasets to summarize key trends and synthesize insightsProficiency with Microstrategy, ThinkCell and Tableau requiredProficiency with SQL and Alteryx preferred

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Finance, Statistics or Economics or equivalent work experience

MBA preferred
