Your Role:
The Plant Controller for Round Lake assumes the role of Site Finance lead for the plant’s end-to-end supply chain. Reporting directly to the Finance Director of Pharma Operations and indirectly to the Plant Leader.
This role leads all aspects of an annual budget $140M in value of production. The plant has a workforce of ~600 employees.
This role requires this individual to be onsite 5 days per week.
What you’ll be doing:
As a member of your Plant Leadership team (SLT), you will drive activities in key workstreams including Compliance, reporting, influence, and leadership. These activities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements and has ultimate responsibility for their plant’s financial records (P&L and BS)
Provides relevant, accurate and timely communication of financial performance (past, present, and future). Includes oversight of month end closing, the submission of weekly pulses, the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the preparation of the budgets (annual and long-range plans)
Support and participate in the standardization and modernization of ISC financial processes.
Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement (both financial and operational)
Develop and implement action plans to drive profitable growth.
Improves financial performance through analysis, mentorship, and accountability. Achieves financial results for KPIs including manufacturing variances, operating income, cash flow, capital investments and value improvement projects (VIP)
Actively liaise with process business partners (FP&A COE, FPO, BBS, Global ISC) in the pursuit of more efficient and effective ways to fulfill the Plant Controller’s responsibilities
Actively develops the financial acumen of finance and non-finance team members
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA or equivalent preferred
10 plus years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance
Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control
Consistent track record of identifying and implementing change
Has optimally communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environments.
Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization
Capable of executing a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices
Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000.00 to $187,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location.
