Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Global Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing to join our Global Medical Procurement team. This position will lead the Assemblies Product business unit, driving all strategic initiatives, team development, and procurement activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a global sourcing strategy that aligns with our long-term business objectives, focusing on supplier management, commodity strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business improvements. Key Responsibilities:
• Global Procurement Leadership: Lead all strategic procurement initiatives for the Assemblies Product business unit, ensuring alignment with TE Connectivity’s goals and priorities.
• Team Development: Develop a high-performance global procurement team, including commodity management, supplier development, compliance, and New Product Development (NPD). Ensure continuous improvement in team capabilities and efficiency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, R&D, operations, and other functions to accelerate NPI projects, improving time-to-market and ensuring seamless project execution.
• Supplier Engagement: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, managing portfolios to support TE Connectivity’s strategic development. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure strong partnerships, especially in volatile demand situations, and drive improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
• Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management: Develop and implement multi-year commodity strategies for the product business unit, focusing on dual sourcing, long-term capacity commitments, supply base segmentation, and leveraging best practices across business units.
• KPI Achievement: Exceed established annual procurement KPIs, including delivery performance, quality, dual sourcing, inventory management, productivity, localization, payment terms, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), lead time reduction, and others.
• Cost Management: Drive year-over-year productivity improvements to support TE Connectivity’s margin commitment, ensuring cost efficiency and competitive pricing.
• Champion Initiatives: Lead and manage “champion” initiatives for the global medical team, driving continuous improvements and innovation across the business unit and wider medical sector.
• Global Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate across regions and functions to exceed established goals and ensure alignment with company strategy.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• At least 5-10 years of experience in global strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex supplier portfolios and driving procurement performance.
• Experience in developing and executing multi-year commodity strategies, including dual sourcing, capacity planning, and supply base segmentation.
• Strong leadership experience with a global team, including mentoring and developing talent to achieve high performance.
• Expertise in driving cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives to meet procurement and business goals.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Fluency in English, with additional language skills a plus.
• Travel up to 10-25% of the time

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $149,100k - 223,700k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
