Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Business Training and Development to lead our comprehensive training initiatives & shape the learning culture within the Service Experience organization. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in training and development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing effective training programs, managing a team, and leveraging automation tools to enhance learning efficiency. This individual will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to build bespoke models for Service Experience onboarding efforts, from Orientation to functional learning, ensuring our employees are well-equipped to excel in their roles.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with PayPal's business objectives and embraces AI and automation technologies. 

Identify and evaluate emerging AI and automation technologies for learning and development, recommending and piloting new solutions to enhance the learner experience and drive continuous improvement. 

Lead the design and development of engaging and effective learning experiences across various modalities (e.g., microlearning, virtual reality, simulations, gamification) that incorporate AI-powered personalization and adaptive learning paths to streamline training processes and improve program delivery. 

Build bespoke models for Service Experience onboarding efforts, from Orientation to functional learning, crafted and implemented in close collaboration with SMEs. 

Build and manage a high-performing team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. 

Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to identify training needs, develop targeted programs, and ensure alignment with business priorities. 

Manage the L&D budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact and ROI. 

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. 

 

Job Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. 

Over 10 years of experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. 

Strong experience in designing and implementing training programs. 

Proven ability to design effective training curricula. 

Excellent people management skills, with experience leading and developing a team. 

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders. 

Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and program effectiveness. 

Proficiency in using training software and tools. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 

8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a proven track record of leading and implementing successful training programs. 

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. 

Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI and automation technologies in learning and development (e.g., chatbots, personalized learning platforms, AI-powered content curation). 

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies. 

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
