Expected salary range of $178,200 to $198,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). **PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION** Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Constellation standardized Radiation Protection (RP)/Health Physics and Industrial Safety program. Ensure implementation of radiological control and Industrial Safety procedures for personal safety, compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies. Ensures proper response of facility personnel in the event of an emergency situation and is responsible for the training and knowledge transfer of Health Physics skills to technician and professional staff. **PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES** + Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding site and Constellation Nuclear. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., Employment, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.). Ensure consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors/functions. + Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures relating to the applied Radiation Protection and Industrial Safety programs. This includes ensuring that the requirements of 10CFR20, supporting NRC Regulatory Guides, INPO, and other regulatory documents are met. + Accountable for the management and control of radiation exposure, source term reduction efforts, Radiation Protection and Radiation Worker training programs, personnel and equipment/area contaminations, and radioactive waste generation and shipments. + Accountable for the management and control of radiation exposure, source term reduction efforts, Radiation Protection and Radiation Worker training programs, personnel and equipment/area contaminations, and radioactive waste generation and shipments + Responsible to support the implementation and maintenance of the Generating Station Emergency Plan including training and qualifications of personnel. + Informs and consults with Station Management on significant problems and advises Management relative to radiological and industrial safety hazards and pertinent regulatory requirements + Participates in audits and assessments of the Radiation Protection and Industrial Safety program and develops and implements corrective actions for RP-related findings. Performs critical observations and provides critical feedback to all site personnel to insure continued improvement in Radiological and industrial safety work practices. + All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.) **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor's degree in health physics or related science degrees (e.g. chemistry, physics, medical physics, etc.) or engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) and specific formal training in radiation protection OR must meet equivalency as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.1.1.1 & 4.1.1.2) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants" + 5 years power plant which shall include 3 years of nuclear power plant experience and 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience + Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.3) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants" + Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Leadership skills managing multiple program areas of Health Physics + Successfully completed National Registry of Radiation Protection Technicians (NRRPT) or Certified Health Physicist (CHP) certifications + 7 years of experience in supervisory role in applied Radiation Protection work in a nuclear facility Constellation is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and employees or applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to: age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
