About This Role

Performing troubleshooting and failure analysis on product networks and networking componentsImplementing network designs through the configuration of embedded and general purpose computing devices (ie switches, routers, compute hosts, etc)Contributing to the efforts of the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Support (CSIS) team to support the assessment and authorization of products in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) to achieve an Interim Authorization To Test (IATT) or Authorization To Operate (ATO)Utilizing vulnerability scan, port scan, compliance, and network analysis tools (e.g. ACAS, Nessus, NMAP, SCC, and Wireshark), and conducting in-depth analysis of the results against Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirement Guides (SRGs)Developing remediation and mitigation plans, and creating packages for the implementation of those plansWilling and able to occasional travel to other locations in support of cybersecurity test activities and network troubleshooting (less than 10%)Working both individually and cohesively on a team with exciting technologies and products in an engineering environmentAbout This Role

· Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field with 2 years related technical experience
· Ability to obtain a CCNA or equivalent network certification
· Ability to implement existing networking designs and make recommendations for improvement
· Familiarity with network diagnostic tools (nmap, Wireshark, iperf, etc)
· Ability to monitor network traffic and identify causes for concern
· Experience with network edge devices from Cisco and Juniper
· Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
· Efficient technical communications skills including technical writing and presentations
· Ability to obtain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
· Current holds a DoDD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01-M IAT II or higher certification (e.g., CCNA or CCNP), and/or other network certifications
· Familiarity with multicast protocols such as IGMP and PIM
· Scripting language experience in at least one language such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
· Familiarity with Virtual Machines and Hypervisors(VmWare or KVM stack)
· Familiarity with networking cybersecurity tools
· Active U.S. government Secret (or higher) security clearance
