Job DescriptionAECOM is looking to hire an Overhead Contact System (OCS) Construction Manager for our NYC Transit Pracice. This unique and exciting position offers the opportunity to work in a developing practice with great growth opportunities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead technical interactions with clients, operators, and other major stakeholdersSpecific responsibilities will include the full range of catenary design and analysis tasks, including support and wiring layouts and profiles, cross-section development, structural support design, equipment allocation, grounding and bonding, sectionalizing, and the development of basic design parameters.Construction oversight, coordination of resources and stakeholders, coordination with engineers for designs & systems integrationConstruction Engineering Support on infrastructure projectsManage and deliver technical training of client staff. Support the authoring of project plan documents. Participate in the Requirements Management effortSupport cost estimates, project schedules and budgets. Perform technical review of other team members’ designsParticipate in project pursuit effortsProvide guidance and mentorship to junior personnel as part of team developmentWorking with existing and potential clients to identify potential projectParticipation in teaming and go/no-go decisions for potential projectsQualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree + 12 years of relevant experience in design of Systems for rail and transit projectsExperience managing client project lifecycle phases including planning, engineering design, stakeholder management, bit negotiation, construction oversight, project managementPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Engineering License15 years of relevant experience in systems design for rail and transit projectsExperience in local NY Transit ProjectsExperience with the design and construction of overhead electrification systems, preferably including a variety of project scopes and delivery phases ranging from preliminary design through constructionExperience in implementing a variety of overhead system types including auto-tensioned and fixed termination systems, simple catenary and single contact wire/trolley wire, as well as both AC and DC systemsAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this roleSponsorship is available for this roleAbout AECOM
