Position Summary: The Senior Strategy, Plans, Exercises, and Policy Support Services position supports USCENTCOM in integrating and synchronizing DoD military activities with U.S. Government (USG) strategy. The role involves developing inputs for strategies, campaign plans, and operational concepts, translating strategic objectives into coordinated activities and operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with DoD components, USG agencies, allies, coalition members, and regional partners to ensure alignment with USCENTCOM's theater-level campaign efforts and long-term planning initiatives. Required Qualifications: • TS/SCI • Graduate of Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS), or Senior Service College equivalent program. • Bachelor's degree • Minimum of 5 years of overall planning experience. • Minimum of 3 years planning experience at the Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters or Service Component headquarters that directly supports a Geographic Combatant Command. • Effective understanding and use of the English language, to include clear, effective, and grammatically correct oral and written communication. Essential Functions: These services are required to support unique JPT/OPT efforts which may require: • Conducting all aspects of the Joint Operational Planning Process to include: Mission Analysis, COA Development, COA Analysis (Wargaming), COA Comparison and Decision. • Conducting orderly handover of plans for order development to those tasked with execution of the operation. Provide staffs with the situational awareness and rationale for key decisions necessary to ensure that there is a coherent transition from planning to execution. • Supporting the implementation and planning efforts of counterparts in USCENTCOM Component Commands, other key Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, the Office of Secretary of Defense, counterparts in other Federal departments and agencies, Allies, Coalition members, and partner nations. • Providing technical recommendations to joint planning teams and working groups regarding Joint Planning, the Joint Operational Planning Process, Execution System, Exercise/Training Planning, and Joint Doctrine. Develop and deliver briefs to senior leaders, on topics within the scope of the task order. • Providing technical support in evaluating and coordinating USCENTCOM strategies, plans, and policies related to the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). • Providing analyses and recommendations for USCENTCOM implementation and • planning efforts involving joint, interagency, and multinational partners and allies. • Providing support and assistance to directed joint planning teams and working groups for coordination between staff and coalition or regional partner representatives for operations in the USCENTCOM AOR. • Advising the USCENTCOM Commander's staff (Joint Directorate and reporting staff members) on strategic and regional concerns. • Providing analyses, recommendations, and draft products for joint planning teams and working group approval in developing orders, analyses, estimates, and briefings for USCENTCOM leadership and primary staff.
