Position Summary:

Responsible for controlling the storage and flow of inventory and non-inventory items into and out of the site. Ensuring the accuracy levels for inventory items are maintained within agreed limits and the availability of non-inventory / production consumables is maintained to support the operation of both the Bio Processing and Bio Manufacturing units on site.

The packing of finished good shipments for customers, the shipment of goods to and from BCD sites in New Zealand and the shipment of goods from customers and suppliers within Australia.

Picking of raw serum for production and assisting with the manufacture of raw and sterile liquids for use in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry following established protocols and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain warehouse operations on site in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies, standard operating procedures and cGMP/ISO principles including, but not limited to.Safe loading and unloading of trucks in line with the site traffic management plan.Ordering, receipt and storage of non-inventory and production consumable items.Receipt and storage of raw serum and inventory items including required documentation such as Serum Transfer Certificates.Picking of raw materials for production use in accordance with BMR’s and FIFO principles.Arrange the shipping of documents, equipment and biological sample plates domestically and internationally.Maintain accurate records of stock movement and storageConduct stock take and cycle counts ensuring stock accuracy is within agreed limits and investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Ensure warehouse racking and equipment is maintained in safe, good working condition by conducting required checks and reporting all incidents, damage and hazards in a timely manner.Ensure the Bio Processing and Bio Manufacturing Unit teams have adequate stock of non-inventory items and production consumables to support to smooth operation of those processes.Picking and packing finished goods for orders/shipments to customers.Establish and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers of production consumables and site service providers.Assist teams with day-to-day production activities in conformance with specifications, standard operating procedures, and cGMP/ISO principles.Assist with raw processing and sterile / cleanroom operational activities including setup, dispensing, monitoring sampling and testing with limited supervision.Assist with sterile serum filtration operational activities, including setup, pooling, filtering and integrity testing.Assist with logistical processes for finished goods, semi-finished goods and raw materials including packing, inwards goods receipt, loading and unloading freight.Completion of process documentation and records such as Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR’s), ensuring that all information is timely, accurate, legible and correct to guarantee traceability.Communicate production issues and potential solutions to Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader as they arise.Balance multiple tasks and prioritize critical tasks.Uses experience and logic to solve moderate to complex problems within process guidelines and assists others to do the same.Participates in PPI activities (Kaizens and JDIs) as appropriate and regularly applies continuous improvement methodologies in daily work.Participate in EHS system by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.Assist with the revision of manufacturing documentation including batch manufacturing records (BMR’s) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned to assist with the efficient operation of the team and business.

Working Conditions:

Working in a controlled, cleanroom environment and warehouse. Is required to lift up to 20kg. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work overtime and be flexible around hours of work including working Tuesday to Saturday shifts as required.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience in cGMP manufacturing and/or analytical laboratories is preferred.Science related qualification is desirable.Good mechanical competence/proficiency.
