Sr PACS Administrator - IT Administration - Full Time
Summary: The Senior PACS Administrator is a critical role responsible for overseeing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) across multiple healthcare facilities. This position requires a seasoned IT professional with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of imaging informatics. The Senior PACS Administrator will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of PACS, collaborating with clinical and IT teams to support optimal imaging services and patient care. Experience: •Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT imaging informatics •Strong understanding of healthcare IT regulations and standards •Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams. •Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. •Strong financial acumen, with experience managing IT budgets and resources. •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Essential Functions Leadership & Team Development: •Lead and manage a team of PACS Administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a high-performing team. •Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous learning among team members. •Implement initiatives to enhance employee morale, retention, and professional development. PACS Operations & Maintenance: •Oversee the daily operations of the PACS, ensuring continuous availability and optimal system performance. •Manage system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities to keep the PACS and associated infrastructure up to date. •Ensure the integrity and security of imaging data, adhering to compliance standards and best practices. Project Management: •Lead and manage PACS-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations with other healthcare IT systems. •Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet the organization's requirements. •Implement standardized workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and consistency in PACS operations. Collaboration & Communication: •Work closely with radiology, IT, and clinical teams to understand and address their imaging informatics needs. •Facilitate effective communication between technical and clinical staff to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise. •Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to imaging informatics and technology investments. Continuous Improvement: •Identify opportunities for optimizing PACS performance, user experience, and system reliability. •Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in imaging informatics. •Implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of imaging services.
