Sr Perimeter Network Engineer - Palo Alto - RemoteJob Description

The Systems Engineer Senior IT is responsible for constructing detail design based on architectural guidance. This position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert and performing activities required for the support of secured IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Configuration of Palo Alto firewall policy utilizing AppID, URL filtering, Threat, and Wildfire.Configuration of Palo Alto firewall virtual routers and routing policy using BGP as the primary routing protocol.Support for Palo Alto Global Protect.Installation, configuration and support of Palo Alto Firewalls using Panorama.Collaborate with IT Security departments to mitigate security vulnerabilities.Collaborate with other staff and departments to meet department and project deadlines. • Use ITIL process and procedures for change, incident, and problem management of perimeter network environments.Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredExperience with specific domain relevant to team5 years of experience in a variety of Networking areas including design implement and support of: Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, Palo Alto Log Collectors, Palo Alto Global Protect and Routing Technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Regulatory compliance requirements (such as HIPAA and PCI) o Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)Previous experience in PBM / health care industryUnderstanding of security implications of domainITIL Foundations Certification
