The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus-eligible.
CNO Financial Group’s **40|86 Advisors** are hiring a **Sr. Portfolio Analyst** to provide top-down portfolio analysis identifying potential investment risks and opportunities. This job performs detailed analytical and statistical reviews of investment performance at the investment asset class, strategy composite, and account portfolio levels.
**As a** **Sr. Portfolio Analyst,** **your responsibilities will include:**
+ Assisting in the construction, management, and surveillance of a large multi-asset class portfolio (typically $20B+ in assets).
+ Developing and maintaining files and analyzing existing and prospective investments.
+ Analyzing and communicating performance results.
+ Working with senior management to set performance expectations
+ Articulating risks to the portfolio at the micro and macro level.
+ Frequently communicating trends, opportunities, developments, and results with management
+ Creating reports that analyze and explain portfolio activities and performance including contributors and detractors, and decomposed risk relative to specific targets.
+ Continually expanding and deepening the firm’s investment, portfolio management, and product knowledge base.
+ Staying abreast of the current market environment and the latest relevant industry research.
+ Applying strategic asset allocation and other strategy development tools to assist in the asset allocation process.
+ Managing relationships with internal stakeholders, portfolio managers, traders, and analysts within the firm in support of investment decisions
+ Creating and maintaining analytical tools to monitor portfolio risk and return metrics
**The Sr. Portfolio Analyst position** **is well-suited for you if you:**
+ Have a working knowledge of institutional investments
+ Possess a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
+ Have strong business acumen, analysis, and written/verbal communication skills
+ Exhibit strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize,e and collaborate vertically & horizontally in a fast-paced environment
**What you’ll need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field.
+ 3 years of related work experience.
+ Proficiency with MS Excel
**What will set you apart:**
+ Master’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field.
+ 3+ years of portfolio analysis experience
+ Certifications/Licenses: CFA, MBA, CPA are preferred

This role is affiliated with the Carmel Corporate Office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office.
