As key member of the IT Financial Applications Service Team, the Application Solution Consultant is responsible for aligning business strategy and requirements to efficient, consistent, and scalable application solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in key financial process areas and ERP solutions and is recognized as an expert in the field within (and outside) the organization. The Application Solution Consultant (ASC) defines, implements and enforces application solution principles and standards. The ASC understands UKG’s current and future business process and strategy, provides thought leadership in their areas of expertise and aligns strategy for execution of solution roadmaps. Acts as an advisor and influencer to senior leaders and other departments on advanced issues and may lead cross-functional initiatives with notable complexity. Create, maintain and enforce application solution standards that reflect IT strategies and quality goals. Align IT and various business organizations on application requirements and solution standards. Responsibilities: Consult with Business Stakeholders, End Users and IT teams to recommend business and application solutions that meet business requirements. Deliver high-level solution designs on strategic projects. Review and approve all application designs with input from Development Leads and Business Analysts before build. Perform initial discovery of new applications and upgrades/releases to form a strong understanding of new functionality and limitations. Document and communicate findings to business stakeholders and impacted IT teams. Work closely with BSAs and as a member of various project teams to provide guidance on proposed solutions. Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements and system functional specifications to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness of new and current systems and processes. Apply strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills to balance meeting complex business requirements with enforcing out of the box application solutions wherever possible. Create, maintain and enforce application solution standards that reflect IT’s strategies and goals. Align IT and various business organizations around the application requirement and solution standards. Evaluate the existing application landscape and recommend improvements. Participate in documenting the future state application landscape, including evaluation and POC of new technologies where required. Participate in collaborative brainstorming with the Senior Leadership team on current and future work. Maintain a future view of application technology trends, aligning and evolving the application roadmap accordingly. Provide input to BA managers to support establishing requirement standards and requirements templates that ensure application solutions are built with best practice functionality. Drive quality by providing review and consulting oversight on key deliverables such as project charters, design and solutions specification templates, demonstrations of out of box functionality, requirements and design sign off. Build and maintain relationships with corporate and regional stakeholders, analyzing and understanding business requirements, business processes, functional requirements, cross-functional needs and system capabilities. Serve as a trusted expert to customers. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT and business analysis. Minimum of 5 years of experience with Financial and ERP applications and processes Demonstrated ability to define and enforce solution standards. Proven track record of working successfully in a complex, highly integrated environment. Experience operating in a cloud/on premise hybrid IT landscape. Ability to build collaborative stakeholder relationships among many diverse groups, working in various time zones, who are pursuing disparate goals High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management. Thorough understanding of the following IT methodologies: waterfall, SDLC, Agile, ITIL. ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, or other) certifications required. Strong understanding of ERP best practices and limitations and the ability to clearly communicate them to key stakeholders. Where we’re going UKG is on the cusp of something truly special. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
