Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Hardware Engineer to work within the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Hardware organization as a senior member and technical lead. This role will be assigned to the computer hardware element of the DARC program which is responsible for the design, integration, test and delivery of the high-performance computing infrastructure for the DARC program. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Information Technology (IT), IT environments, and HW components such as servers, switches, routers, and network attached storage. This role requires a highly organized and motivated individual who can help set team priorities, collaborate with outside stakeholders, and technically contribute to the success of the organization. Experience with system administration and hardware baseline management is a must.
Job Duties Include:
Set priorities for system administrators and hardware engineers within the teamSupport the technical baseline management and lead configuration changes through the internal change processDrive to closure open technical debt (i.e., Deficiency Reports (DRs), Problem Reports (PRs))Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Systems Engineering on the accreditation and Authority to Operate (ATO) packageEnsure engineering processes and procedures are followed and adhered tooDevelop development of sustainment products (i.e., O&M manuals, R&R procedures)Basic QualificationsActive DoD Secret clearance at time of application with ability to obtain Top SecretBachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
