Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Database Administrator (DBA) in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. This DBA will be an active part of a team of Database Administrators who will share in the administration of Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, and various Graph Databases. This candidate will take the lead on implementing new Enterprise level Graph Database solutions and provide general support for the other database environments. The environment comprises ever growing opportunities with modernization such as Cloud technologies and DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Development of containerization and Kubernetes skillsets will be critical as the NASIC Database architecture continues its Digital Transformation efforts. This candidate will be planned to support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years’ experience OR a master’s degree with 6 years' experience OR a high school diploma/equivalent with 12 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 6 years experience in Database AdministrationAble to obtain IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX or Security+Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearancePreferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Harbor, Docker, GitLab, etc.Experience with Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, or MongoDB, or graph Database administrationExperience with Apache, NGINX, or JBoss Server administrationExperience with scripting using tools such as Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, etc.Candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsActive CompTIA SecurityX or Security+ certificationSalary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
