Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.

The successful candidate will have significant experience and working knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.  Experience with parallel programming techniques, resource sharing and scheduling, high speed networking and parallel storage and memory technologies.  The candidate will also be versed in MPICH message passing, job queuing theory and GPGPU systems.  This position will be located in Redondo Beach and will support both open area and classified area systems (DoD/SSBI/SCI)

Basic Qualifications:
o Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Equivalent with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience OR a Masters Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

o at least 5 years of experience in Parallel Software systems and synchronization

o Experience with Job queuing, resource management & sharing; LSF or Slurm

o Experience with basic scripting languages such as Python, Perl and Matlab

o Experience with Linux Operation system with System Administration skills

o Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform

o Experience with HPC hardware systems, including Node structures, parallel storage systems, high performance low latency network systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Experience building both hardware and software parallel architected systems is preferred.

o Masters Degree with at least 7 years' experience with HPC systems is nice to have OR a PhD with at least 4 years' experience with HPC systems is a plus

o an Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance is preferred


 

Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $199,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
