Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Principal / Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 3) or (Band 4) with experiences in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing.
The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Mission's Capabilities Team (AMC) within the Mission Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems. Full-Time telework may considered for this role but may need to come onsite as needed at the manager's discretion to support the program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Sources and procures specialized goods and services.Owns contractual management for the supplier.Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases.Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.Manages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers by having strong communication and writing skills.Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 3+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related with a Master’s DegreeMust possess strong leadership and presentation skills directed to all levels of internal/external management.Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiencesProficiency in MS Office suite with expertise in excelAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Experience with SAP or related business application softwareDemonstrated knowledge of FAR/DFARDemonstrated negotiation experienceAbility to perform Senior Worker review of procurement packagesSr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist Basic Qualifications:
8+ Years in procurement, contracts, subcontracts and/or business management with Bachelors ; + Years with Master’s in procurement, contracts, subcontracts and/or business management.Must possess strong leadership and presentation skills directed to all levels of internal/external management.Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiencesProficiency in MS Office suite with expertise in excelAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Experience with SAP or related business application softwareDemonstrated knowledge of FAR/DFARAbility to perform Senior Worker review of procurement packagesDemonstrated negotiation experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environmentProfessional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, TelecommunicationsDemonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Reimbursable,Familiarity with terms and conditions, and/or special contract clauses/types such as: long term agreements and intellectual property agreements.Experience working high dollar subcontracts (i.e. $100M Cost Reimbursable Preferred)Active DoD secret clearanceSalary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00Salary Range 2: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
