Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a talented Mission Assurance Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD area.

The Program Mission Assurance Engineer interprets customer technical and MA requirements, and ensuring these requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications and product drawings Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Performs oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities.

Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

Represents Mission Assurance at different review boards including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), & Material Review Board (MRB)

Provide oversight in discrepancy review, failure investigations, as well as cause and corrective action determinations

Basic Qualifications:

8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree; 6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's degree; 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD; An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required with additional experience)Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at the time of applicationExperience working with external mission partners throughout lifecycle of programExperience on Space systems programs, such as payload, OR spacecraft bus, OR antenna, launch, OR ground systems, and/or operations and maintenance activitiesExperience working with and managing subcontractorsExperience working with or supporting Integration and TestExperience working with or supporting Validation and VerificationExperience supporting Parts, Materials, and Processes Control BoardExperience working directly with customersExperience supporting Engineering Review BoardExperience reading cabling drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematicsKnowledge of mechanical and non-destructive inspection techniques

Preferred Qualification:

Experience supporting Configuration Control Board.Direct program experience working with the following disciplines: Program Management Office, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, SEIT, and PM&PExperience support Risk and Opportunity Management BoardExperience leading or supporting Failure Review BoardExperience coordinating the efforts of diverseĀ stakeholdersCertified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologiesExperience with requirements management and the associated tools, i.e. DOORsSystems engineering experience on complex integrated systemsExperience on Government contractsExperience writing proposalsEvidence of excellent time management, presentation, and negotiation skills

Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $163,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
