Senior Process Controls Engineer
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be accountable and responsible for process control design and configuration.
Manage and implement the long-term reliability efforts for the plant process control systems.
Lead all aspects including design, configuration, factory acceptance testing and commissioning of process control programming initiatives of smaller scope.
Develop and maintain process control design, configuration, standards and documentation.
Partner with Operations to develop and implement control strategies that meet the needs of the business.
Manage the proper turnover of implemented control strategies to the customer, including proper documentation and training of area personnel and follow-up for debugging/refinement.
Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and IT/OT personnel at the facility.
Direct adherence to procedures, guidelines, design standards, and technologies across the sites as a subject matter expert; leads or represents sites on corporate teams.
Be accountable and responsible for managing and directing third-party process control resources.
Develop site configuration and reporting standards to help drive process control standardization and consistency to implement best practices across the site in architecture, configuration, graphics, alarm rationalization, etc.
Participate in regional and global DeltaV and Process Control communities
Guide experience exchange and promote knowledge transfer with other site Engineers.
Champion self-development, technical training and technical mentoring to develop and engage other engineers and area personnel.
Support Site and Area Production System improvements, OnePSS Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall goal of the position.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field and minimum 6 years of process control experience OR master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field and minimum 4 years of process control experience.
Solid understanding of process control network design and function.
Proficient level knowledge of DeltaV programming.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $96,361.60 - $144,542.40. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
