Primary Purpose:

The Senior Process Engineer reports to the Director - Engineering and will provide technical support activities such as gas conditioning, NGL/Condensate recovery, dehydration, hydrocarbon dew point control, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) treating, process modeling and optimization, and project management.

Duties and Responsibilities (Preferred):

Provide modeling of Oil and Gas Treating facilities to address design concerns, operational questions, capacity constraints, or new project development. This includes CO2 and H2S treating, Propane Refrigeration units, Condensate/NGL Stabilizers, JT units, and TEG DehydratorsReview customer specifications for new quotes and recognize/highlight non-standard specificationsProvide complete bid/quote package for new opportunities including Heat and Material Balance, Equipment Sizing, Major Equipment List (MEL), Cost Sheet, and Plant LayoutDevelop and review P&IDsCreate and review vessel datasheetsReview and approve all design and drafting deliverables (pressure vessel drawings, skid GA drawings, etc.)Review and approve ASME calculations for pressure vesselsSize control equipment (control valves, PSVs, pressure regulators, etc.)Review and approve I&E documents (instrument index, cause and effect diagram, instrument data sheets, etc.)Interact with the suppliers/vendors to obtain quotations for major equipment and control equipmentTechnical review and comparison of the vendor quotes. Coordinate with the procurement department to purchase major equipment and control equipmentCommunicate with vendors/suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with the customer’s requirementsUnderstand the customer’s quality requirementsPerform plant walk-downs (at the fabrication shop) to ensure compliance with the final approved designReview and approve the final Job BookParticipate in HAZOP studiesSupport activities for commissioning and startupAddress customers’ questions/concerns during the fabrication phase and plant operationProvide technical guidance and input to Project Management and Operations groups. Education:

B.S. or advanced degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering

Experience / Specific Knowledge (Preferred):

7 - 10 years of demonstrated Oil and Gas industry experience. Process Engineering experience is preferredProficiency in using process simulation software such as ProMax to design and troubleshoot gas-treating equipmentAbility to meet deadlines and provide deliverables for multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work with a variety of different groups throughout the organizationAbility to communicate through written technical and non-technical reports, email, and public speaking when requiredExperience designing, evaluating, and troubleshooting Amine and TEG Dehydrator units, and Condensate / NGL Stabilizers plants is required. Experience with Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) processing is preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer, and fluid mechanics.Familiarity with the mechanical design (piping stress analysis and skid design) is a plusPMP certification is a plus
