Position: Sr. Procurement Specialist Job Code: MSPRP3 + Sr. Specialist, Procurement Location: Evadale, TX The Opportunity: The Sr. Specialist, Procurement is primarily responsible for requisitioning raw materials to meet the mill\u2019s production requirements. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Purchasing. How you will impact Smurfit WestRock: Storeroom Reorders * Responsible for entire Procure to Pay process for all storeroom non- repairable reorders. * Includes monitoring and processing unfilled reservations and planned orders, aligning purchases with preferred suppliers when available, and facilitating payment of all invoices by eliminating discrepancies. * Maintain PIR records and update plant specific material master data as needed to optimize order processing * Request and process quotes for all materials if they not aligned with preferred suppliers, do not have managed pricing, or have not been purchased in the last 6 months. * Make any corrections necessary to POs so that they flow correctly, example update pricing and shipping terms. * Enter material modification requests to update existing material part numbers, descriptions, min/max increases, elimination of duplicate materials and classification details as needed. * Act as a liaison between vendors and end users to identify potential substitutes for obsolete materials. * Work with the SAP Vendor Master team to extend JDE vendors to SAP as needed and enter requests to add or modify vendors through the Vendor Portal Direct Buy Materials * Assist maintenance with any MRO or Capital spare they request my assistance with. * Get quotes, create PR, follow up to make sure PO gets created by CBT. Act as liaison between maintenance and the vendor if requested. Emergency requests * Any emergency request relating to MRO parts or Capital spares excluding repairables. Including contacting multiple vendors to find materials on shelf, searching other mills, creating POs, answering calls on nights and weekends per the call out schedule.
