Sr Product Manager (Commercial Liquidity Products)
What the role will be/is responsible for, including specific sales market coverage, product(s) or project(s)
Act as a Product Manager - SME / thought leader - for the core Commercial Liquidity Products that include Interest Bearing Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA), Non-Interest Bearing Demand Deposit Accounts, On- and Off-Balance Sheet Sweeps, Hybrid, ECR, ZBA, and select othersSet and execute strategic vision for the product suiteManage and grow existing book of business, including partner and vendor relationships Provide expertise to identify opportunities for targeted segmentation, expansion of product and service capabilities, and forming strategic partnerships both internally and externallyAddress product-specific questions and resolve operational issues that arise as part of day-to-day business Coordinate execution of product enhancements / Tech upgradesPartner with cross-functional and cross-LOB leads (including Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Relationship Managers, Analytics across Commercial, Business, and Private Banking) on delivering product enhancements and expansion initiatives Ensure smooth process flowsIdentify, lead and implement internal projects to enhance operating efficiencyCreate, implement, and oversee efficient end to end process flows across key LOBs – Commercial / Business / Private BankingEnsure smooth operation of all products used; investigate and quickly address any issues that might come up during the normal course of business Liaise with Risk to ensure all products are in compliance with the regulatory frameworkDesign and Execute Product Expansion StrategyIdentify additional product capabilities to implementExecute and deliver on outstanding partnership commitments and generate ideas for additional opportunitiesDrive Growth Strategy:Identify specific segments / clients to pursueLiaise with the Sales partners to pursue target segments through targeted outreach, partnerships, marketing, etc.Increase share of wallet for existing clientsIdentify new prospects (new quickly growing entrants)Leverage referrals and partnershipsDevelop and implement marketing strategy as well as strengthen / create internal and external partnerships. Some example include:Internal - PaymentsExternal vendors and clientsMarketing opportunities – e.g., white papersJoin conferences to promote brand recognition Ensure documentation and retention of product knowledgeRequired Skills/Experience:
• Direct knowledge of Liquidity products.
• Solid understanding of commercial banking product, operations, sales, service, and technical practices.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate strategic concepts and lay out a strategic course of action.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver profitable growth in a product area.
• Expertise in the delivery, market value, and industry position of a product area.
• Detailed understanding of the client needs that drive usage of the product(s).
• Strong analytical skills and communications skills. Creative thinking and problem solving.
• Detail oriented but maintains a big picture view at the same time.
• Builds cross functional partnerships effectively: negotiates with good judgment among multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting needs.
• Self-starter, goal oriented, proactive rather than reactive.
• Gains the confidence of others through proven expertise and the ability to communicate it.
Education, Certification, and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred
