Sr Product Manager - Creative Optimisation

**About the Role**
Uber sends billions of communications every month to Uber users across a variety of channels such as email, SMS, Whatsapp and other surfaces. This role is responsible for building systems and solutions that use explore-exploit ML models to pick a winning creative and message for the user among other optimizations, and do this at scale. We are looking for a dedicated PM to focus efforts in this area and closely collaborate with our Business strategy, Science and Engineering teams to build and deploy optimizations and reporting systems that measure their impact to the business.
\-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ----
01. Work with our Marketing, Product and Operations teams to understand and define creative and message optimization use cases across multiple channels.
02. Build ranking and decisioning systems for marketing communications to our end users.
03. Build reporting platforms at Uber scale to measure the impact of the optimizations.
04. Understand how our end-users interact with different channels (Push, SMS, Email)
05. Understand Uber’s core product (app and web) and the nuances of each channel to make sure our platforms reliably deliver each message on time to ensure delightful and relevant customer experiences.
06. Use data to prioritize high impact initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
07. Drive a cross-functional team of Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals and ship quality products.
08. Develop a vision and roadmap, plan deliverables, design, and launch products
09. Clearly communicate plans, insights, data, and results to executives, other product teams, cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, finance
10. Evangelize the platforms within global organizations including marketing, ops, product
11. Monitor and measure launched products and use data for product refinement
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in a Product role building high impact scalable platforms focused on optimization problems in the digital advertising / communications space.
2. A good understanding of ranking and decisioning systems and explore-exploit based ML models used to prioritize creatives and content in marketing communications to end users.
3. Basic understanding of how different communication channels (Email, Push, SMS) work.
4. Strong hypothesis building and problem solving skills. Is comfortable getting their hands dirty with large amounts of data and running independent analysis. Should enjoy and succeed at working with PhD level scientists.
5. Has prior experience prioritizing projects across multiple stakeholders based on business impact, creating product roadmaps, and communicating product vision and results to leadership and stakeholders.
6. Experience with working with cross functional teams such as Engineering, Applied Science and Analysts
7. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams Passion for learning new technologies, domains, and challenging the status quo.
8. Grit, drive and a strong feeling of ownership coupled with collaboration.
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. Master’s degree in C.S. / Engineering and / or MBA.
2. Basic understanding of technologies like Kafka, Hadoop, or Hive and iOS / Android ecosystem.
3. A good understanding of ranking and decisioning systems and explore-exploit based ML models used to prioritize messages in the Digital Marketing space.
4. A good understanding of creative and content optimization problems, preferably in the Digital Advertising / CRM space.
5. A good understanding of how to create an experimentation framework to solve problems.
