Sr Product Manager - Turbocor
Job Description

The Senior Product Manager will play a critical role in sustaining the continued growth of the organization by developing products and services that meet customer needs. This will primarily involve identifying customer requirements, translating them into specifications, and developing business cases to establish short, medium, and long-term product strategies. Additionally, the role will entail working directly with customers and expanding the customer base to adapt to changing market dynamics. The Senior Product Manager will provide guidance on all development programs to ensure the profitable growth of the company. The position requires a broad range of cross-functional work, as the portfolio of products includes physical compressors, digital products such as software tools and cloud monitoring services, and other service offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of soft skills to engage with customers effectively and technical expertise to collaborate with engineering teams in defining product developments that sustain business growth.  

 

This is a fully onsite position at our facility in Tallahassee, Florida.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
•    Identify and prioritize business opportunities through Voice of Customer (VOC) and market share analysis. 
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and vertical markets.  
•    Lead the new customer qualification process with the regional sales teams to develop new customers who can help achieve growth. 
•    Manage the compressor product life cycle with short, medium, and long-term plans 
•    Provide prioritization for all internally and externally driven product changes including cost reductions, product enhancements, process improvements, quality/reliability improvements 
•    Develop product specifications to meet the voice of customer needs for markets. 
•    Effectively communicate product development priorities and product/project progress. 
•    Monitor competitive activities/products and provide continuous gap analysis in products/services. 
•    Know and understand regulatory requirements for products. 
•    Contribute to the development of product forecasts. 
•    Establish price to market. 
•    Provide sales support for product benefits and features internally and externally. 
•    Develop marketing collateral, including value propositions 
•    Utilize SAP for tasks such as Business Intelligence information, variant configuration management, and price management 
•    Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace 
•    Responsible for understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures, and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals, and environmental well-being.

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, science, or a related discipline 
•    Minimum of 5 years experience in the HVAC/R industry 
•    Must have experience and knowledge of refrigeration systems 
•    Strong communication skills in English – verbally, virtually, globally, and across all levels of the organization
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
•    Proven leadership experience in a virtual and matrix environment
•    Willing to Travel Globally approximately 25% 


Preferred Qualifications: 
o    Preferable to have knowledge on chilled water systems including design, product applications, and global codes and efficiency standards (e.g. AHRI, GB, EcoDesign)
o    An MBA or a technical master's degree
o    Strategic thought leadership and ability to recognize megatrends
o    Good time management and project management skills to organize and plan effectively in developing effective systems and processes.
