Sr Product Owner (Blue Connect)
**Job Description** The Blue Connect Product Owner will contribute to the product vision and roadmap and work with the agile team to delivery exceptional member experiences. Will be responsible for working with the agile team to define stories and own the team/sprint backlog, setting priorities to deliver value based on product roadmap and vision. This role promotes a customer-centric mindset within the agile team, fostering a commitment to delivering high-quality features that meet both member and business goals. **What You'll Do** + Aligns with Product Manager on roadmap and vision and works with the team to deliver on prioritized features. + Work with team to ensure member needs and business priorities are effectively communicated and reflected in the product backlog. + Create epics from the prioritized roadmap features and work with team to decompose them into stories for execution and delivery.  + Prioritize stories and backlog to maximize business value. + Review and approve all completed stories for adherence to the goals of the feature while providing an optimal member experience. + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, and incorporate this feedback into the product backlog and development process. + Keep Product Manager and stakeholders informed of status throughout delivery. + Collaborate with Product Manger to ensure that the right trade-offs are being made between business goals, user goals, scalability/maintainability, time-to-market, and process efficiency. + Promotes a customer-centric mindset within the development team, fostering a commitment to delivering high-quality features that meet our customer's needs and exceed their expectations. + Support business readiness by working with appropriate areas to update/maintain communication materials. + Act as liaison between business and the delivery team to clearly communicate expectations of all interested stakeholders. + Be a subject matter expert for assigned digital application. + Champions the product vision and strategy both internally and externally, acting as a spokesperson and advocate for the product. + Contribute to product roadmap. ​​ **What You'll Bring (Hiring Requirements)** + Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) + 5+ years of experience in related field + In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field + Demonstrated passion for the Web and creating exception digital member experiences + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to multi-task and properly set priorities based on business need and sense of urgency. + Excellent verbal and written business communications skills + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with diverse project teams and across functional areas **Nice to Have (Hiring Preferences)** + Product Owner certification preferred (Scrum Alliance or SAFe) + Proficiency working in JIRA and Confluence or other relevant tool. + Demonstrated health care industry knowledge and/or prior experience is preferred. **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
