Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr. Product Specialist (T) with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java Platform APIs Database Basics and DevOps along with domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of technical and domain-specific skills to drive product success. The candidate will work in a day shift with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of product features using Java Platform APIs to ensure robust and scalable solutions.Oversee database design and management ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.Provide DevOps support to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards.Develop and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing product development and maintenance.Implement best practices for software development including version control testing and continuous integration.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to product functionality.Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and align technical solutions with organizational goals.Mentor junior team members providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the product competitive and innovative.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.Contribute to the overall success of the product by delivering high-quality reliable and user-friendly solutions.Qualifications
Possess a deep understanding of Java Platform APIs and their application in product development.Demonstrate proficiency in database basics including design management and optimization.Exhibit strong DevOps skills to support continuous integration and deployment processes.Have extensive experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain understanding its unique challenges and requirements.Show excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering effective and efficient solutions.Display strong communication skills capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Be adept at working in a hybrid model balancing remote and in-office work effectively.Have a proven track record of mentoring and guiding junior team members.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the product remains competitive.Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.Exhibit strong organizational skills managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Certifications Required
Certified Java Developer DevOps Engineer Certification Insurance Certification (e.g. CPCU)
