Pay Range: $74k -  $93k, depending on experience.

A Senior Production Supervisor job in Hegins, PA, is available at MI Windows and Doors.

In addition to running a line (i.e., current role and responsibilities), you will have some oversight responsibilities on multiple lines. This role is a full-time role on the Third Shift.  Acts as a lead supervisor and resource for other supervisors, team leads and team members. Able to help resolve production and employee issues on third shift, when needed. Keeps Department Managers informed on operating and / or employee problems, which may require their attention or knowledge. Personnel management/reallocation as needed, orientation assignments/training, and assisting with team member development are part of your responsibility. You must be able to motivate employees to achieve results. Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the MI work environment and supporting the Company philosophy. 

Essential Functions:

Senior Production Supervisor job responsibilities include running a line with the same responsibilities of all Supervisors, including:

Manage staffing, orientation, training, and team member development. Responsible for: developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, quality monitoring and improvements, superior customer service, and on-time delivery. Responsible for appropriate staffing and departmental scheduling of personnel to meet manufacturing requirements while minimizing costs. Responsible for planning departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Ensures plant staff (Leads) enforce Company policies and procedures, plant-wide safety rules, and employee rules of conduct. Responsible for training, disciplining, and coaching employees. Able to motivate employees to achieve results. Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the MI work environment and supporting the Company philosophy. Recognizes and takes steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on the operations. Cooperates with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship always exists. Facilitate and maintain the Rheo improvement process.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three-plus years in a manufacturing leadership role; previous multi-line responsibility preferred. Prior experience in improving operations (UPWH, reduced costs, etc.). To support MI’s Continuous Improvement culture, we want a strong background in LEAN process improvement principles and process management experience. Proficient in the MS Office Suite
