Senior Program Manager Job Description
As a Senior Program Manager at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for working with leadership teams to manage projects and programs including change management. You will be responsible for managing programs that consist of multiple complex projects to achieve specific business goals and objectives while ensuring balance in allocation of resources. You will ensure accurate design and tracking of programs to predict results and outcomes critical to success. Analysis of program progress in terms of root cause analysis, risk, resources consumption, interdependencies and gaps are also key functions of the program manager responsibilities.
Additional responsibilities include fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our People Organization strategy processes by driving alignment with corporate strategy processes. They will identify opportunities for process optimization, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards, while facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency. Additionally, they will manage change initiatives to help teams adapt to evolving business needs.
Responsibilities and TasksLead M&A Activities within Human ResourcesProvide leadership and direction for selected Programs in which you are leadingManage all aspects of a given program, from benefits identification and requirements gathering to implementation and benefits realizationLead cross-functional meetings fostering teamwork and drive escalation and resolution of issuesEnsure that the scope of the projects within the program is aligned with business prioritiesSupport and coach stake holders within the programsProactively set performance expectations and help manage expectations around delivery and requirements, yielding consistent resultsCoach, mentor, share and engage with program/project managers throughout Human Resources, which at times may require either global travel and/or flexibility to work early mornings and late nightsEducationBachelor's Degree in related field of study or equivalent work experienceProfessional Project Management (PMP) certification (preferred)QualificationsAt least 5 years of global project/program management experience, preferred experience leading complex M&A activities within Human ResourcesProven ability to build and lead globally integrated teams from various internal and external organizationsAdept at helping team members harness and develop strengths in pursuit of program outcomesAbility to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead changeAbility to translate broad general concepts into tangible deliverablesIndependent decision making and ability to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situationsProven problem-solving, decision-making, and financial skillsAbility to influence others using a variety of approaches with or without position powerBreak down large concepts into small deliverables while keeping the end strategy very clearComfort in dealing with ambiguityEffective consultative and influencing approach"The specified role does not encompass the following responsibilities: Finalization of sales agreements or the execution of sales contracts is prohibited.
