Use your project management and organizational skills to be responsible for managing various construction projects in the commercial and institutional sectors. You will hold a visible position and will need to interact effectively with clients, peers, and company management. Your projects will vary in scale and will therefore require a deep knowledge of the construction field, with a specific focus on building automation.
\n\nYou will report directly to our Service Projects Leader and you'll work out of our Ottawa location on a hybrid work schedule.
\n\nThe Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
\n\nKEY REPONSIBILITIES:
\n\n\n\tManage project schedules and budgets while ensuring that contractual requirements and technical specifications are met and aligned with client expectations.\n\tCoordinate and proactively plan labor, material orders, and subcontractor installations.\n\tReview all contractual documents related to the work.\n\tEvaluate, manage, and prioritize tasks effectively.\n\tReport on project progress to the project Director.\n\tAssess subcontractor performance.\n\tPrepare project completion documents and warranties.\n\tEnsure compliance with health and safety standards.\n\tEnsure client satisfaction by providing 5-star service, including offering advice and recommendations.\n\tMust be able to travel within the province of Ontario as needed (approximately 10% of the time).\n\n\n\nYOU MUST HAVE:
\n\n\n\tA completed college or university diploma in engineering or another relevant field.\n\tMinimum of 5 years in building automation and/or HVAC or in project management and/or site coordination within the commercial or industrial construction sector.\n\tValid driver's license.\n\tAbility to acquire Secret Federal Government clearances\n\n\nWE VALUE:
\n\n\n\tPrevious experience in control systems, instrumentation, and building mechanics.\n\tKnowledge of security and fire systems.\n\tAbility to work as part of a team with a client- and process-oriented approach.\n\tProject Management Certification (PMP).\n\tKnowledge of Windows environments as well as office software and cloud environments.\n\tStrong written and oral communication skills, including in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.\n\tAbility to proactively manage tight deadlines.\n\tGood organization and flexibility for managing multiple contracts.\n\tDemonstrate attention to detail, initiative, and professionalism\n\tWillingness to exceed the expectations of internal and external clients, with a results-oriented attitude.\n\tBilingualism in French and English is an asset.\n\n\nABOUT HONEYWELL
