Reporting to Assistant Vice President - C&S, the incumbent is responsible for managing/challenging/supervising civil and structural consultants to perform effectively, for timely delivery of feasibility studies and design, resolving technical issues, preparing all tender documents and submission packages, resolve problems during construction, and other assigned tasks.
Primary Responsibility• Manage and supervise consultants in developing civil and structural feasibility schemes/ detailed design, preparing technical specifications, tender documents, submission packages and conducting site inspections.
• Review, comment and challenge consultants' submissions including feasibility study, scheming, engineering design, design reports, technical reports, etc.
• Assist in value engineering of consultants' design and explore alternative design solution.
• In collaboration with other teams, to ensure cost effectiveness
• Work, coordinate with and provide support to other teams in resolving engineering issues that may affect the master plan or impair the progress of work
• Assist in providing engineering support for and communicate closely with the Design Team on new/ modified designs of the projects.
• Min. Degree holder in Civil/ Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years’ experience in the field of civil/ structural/Geotechnical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in working with consulting firm and with design and construction experience in hotel, resort and multi-use projects.
• Experience in large scale complex projects and special projects (ELS/Structural Steel/Footbridge/A&A works) is preferred.
• Macau, PRC, HK experience
• Minimum 12 years being member of HKIE/ISE
