Position Summary
Lead and guide station personnel through the project submission process, ensuring accurate and timely initial project requests. Identify and manage upcoming station projects to maintain the predictability and sustainability of the Nuclear Business Units Integrated Resource Plan and Rate Case submissions. Complete detailed estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and feasibility. Continuously improve the project estimation process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure all projects comply with Fleet processes and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
Initial Project Planning: Identify preliminary project scope options, develop initial NU-estimates, and secure required approvals. Lead cross-functional teams of key stakeholders to develop the project's scope of work document, ensuring alignment with fleet and corporate strategies and coordination with key initiatives.
Timeline and Cost Analysis: Develop preliminary project timelines, obtain vendor estimates, and initiate cost analysis reports and risk registers for integration into the Nuclear Long-Range Plan.
Schedule Evaluation: Collaborate with Project Managers to evaluate capital project schedules, ensuring project scope inclusion. Support Project Managers in defining deliverables, success metrics, and key milestone action plans.
Stakeholder Communication: Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders, including project engineering, site, and fleet organizations, during the initiation phases.
Metrics and Analytics: Develop and maintain metrics and analytics for estimating to support continuous process improvement.
Documentation: Develop user guides, procedures, and policies for estimating.
Training and Oversight: Provide oversight and training on the project process (PPEP) to station and fleet personnel as needed.
Travel and Work Environment: Be prepared for occasional travel to any nuclear location. Perform both office work and work in an industrial environment as required.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management, business, or related field.
High school diploma and two years of post-high school education or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field is preferred.
