As a Sr Project Manager - Capital Projects here at Honeywell, you will oversee and manage capital projects for our UOP ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) business unit. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initiation to completion, while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will report directly to the Director of Engineering and work out of either our Mobile, AL or Baton Rouge, LA locations on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by driving the successful delivery of capital projects, contributing to the growth and efficiency of our UOP ISC business unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nManage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.\nDevelop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project management best practices.\nWork closely with the business finance and site controller to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects.\nManage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR).\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.\nMonitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.\nResponsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures monthly.\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.\nProvide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.\n\n BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL\n

YOU MUST HAVE\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\nMinimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in petrochemical environment.\nStrong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nWE VALUE\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nExperience in the petrochemical or refining industry.\nFamiliarity with procurement and contract management.\nPrevious experience working with SAP Project Systems Module and EcoSys.\nAbility to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.\nAgent for Change – not satisfied with the status quo, willing to take strong and effective action to effectively manage capital investments.
